In 1999 we purchased Epona Farm to be our escape from city living, and the chance to fill our daughter's life with natural opportunities. Over the years it not only became our haven, but also a non-profit sanctuary for those living with difficult life circumstances, and animals in need of new beginnings.

In 2016 we returned our "roots," and expanded upon our own personal gardens which have been filled with unique, rare, heirloom culinary and ornamental herbs, perennials, and scented geraniums, lavender and sage.

Beginning in the fall of 2016, we begin building our new "green" greenhouse and will be offering a wide variety of carefully chosen plants for sale seasonally in the spring and fall at local farmers markets as a NYS Certified Nursery grower and dealer.

Our farm is not certified organic due to the high cost involved with the certification process. However, we have worked hard to grow our plants as organically as possible for 17 years, without the use of dangerous pesticides or other chemicals that can hurt the environment, our family and pets, or yours.

Farm Fresh...

Colleen has worked with animals for decades, and in addition to her career in the arts, she has extensive experience and education in the health sciences for both pets and people. She is a credentialed plant based chef educator, and for animals she has advanced training in Equine veterinary nursing, certification in Equine Sports Massage and Bodywork, and Equine Specialist certifications in Hippotherapy and Equine Assisted Learning and Psychotherapy. But the wellness skills she uses the most are the Clinical Aromatherapy training she received in 2002 with Dr. Kurt Schnaubelt of the Pacific Institute. The farm is filled with helpful herbal blends that contain essential oils that benefit the people and animals who call the farm home. She has been making and selling these organic products since 2002, and is so happy to be able to bring them to the community.

The plants, herbs, vegetables and fruits we grow organically here at the farm lend themselves to all sorts of uses in the home, barn, and our everyday lives. Our brand, Epona Organics, offers care products such as bar soap and shampoo for cats, dogs, horses and livestock, and lotion, bar soap and body wash for people. Our products are all handcrafted, with great pride, and all are infused with herbs and flowers grown right here on our farm.

Essential Oils

We are so pleased to be able to share our experience with essential oils and aromatherapy with new clients. Essential oils can be a wonderful addition to any family wellness toolkit, and can make living a more holistic life much easier than you ever imagined. But they do need to be used with care, and it is a great help having a professional by your side to get you started safely.

Organic Care Products

Epona Organics offers care products such as bar soap and shampoo for cats, dogs, horses and livestock, and lotion, bar soap and body wash for people. Our products are all handcrafted, with great pride, and you'll notice that they contain small flecks of herbs, that's because every oil or liquid we use is infused with herbs and flowers grown right here on our farm.

Culinary Herbs

We specialize in culinary and medicinal herbs, and heirloom plants. We currently grow more than 75 varieties here on the farm that can be safely used by people and pets, including horses. We also grow 12 different varieties of Pelargoniums (Scented Geranium), and 6 varieties of Lavendula (Lavender). We will be expanding our offerings in 2017 with wholesale opportunities.

To further foster the connections between people and farms like ours, we bring many of the holistic products we make, artisan crafts, and organically grown herbs, flowers and vegetables to our local farmers markets and community events. Our home market is the Endicott Farmers Market at 300 Lincoln Avenue, Endicott NY. We are there each Thursday June-October from 4:30-7pm. We try to keep our offerings fresh and fun, and you never know what we may be bringing, so please come each week and support your local farms and craftspeople.
